The new controllable ball seat is a new tool that is innovative on the basis of conventional ball seat in order to meet the needs of oilfield on-site operation and reduce the falling objects in the well. The conventional tee is dropped into the well together with the steel ball after the ball is pressed and the ball is cut. The new controllable ball seat only has a steel ball falling into the well after the shear pin is cut.
In 2018, in response to the requirements of oilfield users, a new type of ball-type ball seat structure was needed. The ball-type ball seat structure used in the field cannot meet the needs of the site during the field use. During the actual operation of the site, when the packer string is down to the position, the column is subjected to low-voltage regulation to verify whether there is leakage in the column. However, the conventional ball-type ball seat has leakage in the low-voltage voltage regulation process and cannot meet the requirements for field use. Our company's technology research and development personnel independently developed a new type of controllable ball seat based on the actual situation on site. After the tool enters the well, the low-pressure sealing and sealing process is fully satisfied during the low-pressure sealing process. Recognized by the user, this new controllable tee has been widely used in the field.
This new type of controllable ball seat has great benefits for some old wells and development to later wells, reducing downholes in the well for later downhole operations. Moreover, the new controllable ball seat has a simple structure and is convenient to operate, and is often considered first in construction.
